Bridal Shower

Last weekend my bridesmaids threw me a wonderful bridal shower! I could not ask for better girlfriends and they made the day so great! We had lots of family and friends come and even a "surprise" appearance from Jeff and my dad as well as my future dad-in-law :) My mom helped the girls with a travel theme and the decorations were so cute! I think my favorite part were the anticipated bundt cake dessert! Delicious, of course! We had a lemon cake and a white chocolate raspberry.
Thanks to everyone who made my shower so special. I cannot wait to see everyone in 27 days!!!

Spring is here!
Well we have almost 3 months until our wedding! Yay! I cannot believe how fast time is going by! Planning is going really well and I have even been able to enjoy it! I love spending time with my bridesmaids, my mom and Janis(my future mom-in-law)
We have had a busy past couple months. Jeff's first busy season is almost over! He has really worked hard and I think we are both happy it is almost over. And if you hadn't heard, Jeff has passed the first of four CPA exams in late January! He takes his next one in May.
I have 6 weeks until graduation and it feels like the last thing I'm thinking about with everything else on my plate! I even feel bad about sending graduation announcements right around the same time as our wedding invitations! I know I should be excited, but a wedding is just as exciting don't you think?! :) Jeff and I were talking about what we were doing last year at this time preparing him for graduation and how exciting of a time it was for both of us! It's amazing how much things change in just a year!
In two weeks, Jeff's brother Matt is getting married and we are really happy for them and anxious to get to see the Morris clan!
By the way, don't forget to check our site, www.natalieandjeffwedding.com it's updated often!

A Valentine Weekend
After ranting in our last blog post, I figured I should write a more positive post about the past four days! Jeff and I had the most wonderful weekend, one that was much needed after the past month or so. We actually planned to do stuff this weekend before realizing it was Valentines Day. Jeff was supposed to be flying out to San Francisco for a week for work yesterday, but right before he left work Wednesday, it was cancelled so now he is in the San Diego office all week. Because of some PTO issues, Jeff has to take off about 5 days by April 15th so we had planned he take Thursday and Friday off so we could spend time together before his trip. It wasn't until about 2 weeks ago we realized that Sunday was V-day. We decided we needed a mini-vacation and drove up to Big Bear on Thursday. It was BEAUTIFUL. I have never seen so much snow up there before, but with all the storms lately it hasn't had time to melt like usual. It was so nice to get away for the day and spend time together, we haven't been snowboarding together since 2007! We came back home that night and I planned a surprise for Friday. At 5:00 Friday night I told Jeff we had to be somewhere for a special appointment. He had no idea where we were going!
On a side note, my parents gave Jeff and I on our first Valentines Day together, Dance lessons. It was mostly because I am not a good dancer and my mom thought it would be good practice so we know what we are doing when we went to Prom. Unfortunately, we never used that gift certificate! I found the gift certificate 5 years later on our last move and knew with the wedding coming up it was perfect timing!!
So we arrived at our private dance lesson and had a great time. They let us play our first dance song and have started showing us what we can do on our special day. I am still not a very good dancer, but I have a great dancing partner with lots of patience. :) I was so glad we got to use our dance lessons and will be going back over the next couple of weeks!!
Saturday was Jeff's day that he planned and we took Penny over to Coronado. It was perfect weather, 74 degrees and sunny! (Sorry Niki, I know it is still winter where you are!) We had lunch, walked around the beach and just enjoyed relaxing for a few hours. By the time Sunday had come, I had procrastinated so much on homework the past couple of days, we really didn't do much to celebrate, but it didn't matter! Our weekend was better than planned! I will post some pictures soon!
Did I mention, our wedding is in 138 days?! :)

So far 2010 is rough!!
I know I shouldn't complain, but I can't help it! School is kicking my butt already and Jeff's work is taking his life over! Right now we have very opposite schedules and I know it will eventually slow down...April 15th right?! Haha, let's hope. Anyways, this semester 3 out of my 6 classes have very large group projects, although one of them I very excited about I get to publish my own literary journal! From start to finish, picking out the writers to actually getting it published. It is exactly something I have wanted to do, so I can't wait for the final project. It is tough though, I go 3 days a week and 2 of those days I go from work at 6am until my last class being over at 10pm! I'm exhausted already and it's only the second week! Jeff has been working his 14 hour days, although he has been able to come home on time, just usually has to work more from home that night. It's better than being at the office!
We did do something very exciting last weekend! Jeff bought his very first car! He is really happy (that BMW was just eating our money!) He got a 2007 Honda Accord and we were able to get a really good deal on it! I'm sure everyone says that but we got it $3000 below asking price thanks to his amazing credit score! All those years working at the bank paid off!
Less than 6 months until the wedding and I am very anxious to get everything planned. I still have lots to do, but I am so happy when I hear family tell us they have their save the dates on their fridge! :)
